In the north of the Serbian Vojvodina, near the Hungarian border is the Palić-Ludās Nature Park located. Here, on sandy ground the two lakes Palić and Ludās have formed over the centuries. The lake water is extremely rich in minerals, which is why the Palić Spa resort developed on the northern shore of Lake Palić.

Unfortunately, various external circumstances in the past have led to the lakes' ecosystem becoming unbalanced. As part of a renaturation project, about which you can find out more on these pages, the necessary measures are currently being taken to improve lakes' water quality and boost biodiversity.

Nevertheless, the region hosts a variety of different plant and animal species that can be discovered and observed by cyclists, hikers and nature lovers in their natural habitat. With more than 200 documented bird species, ornithologists in particular will love their stay!
